Individuals from Art and Culture receives 69 UAE Golden Visas from GDRAF Dubai
Almost golden visas have been issued for the creative individuals working in art and culture in 2020. On Thursday, an official mentioned that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai, took the decision.
GDRFA Dubai, Hala Al Badri, received 220 requests for the UAE Gold Card in 2020. While addressing a session at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature at Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai, she mentioned it. Out of all the requests, 124 requests have been approved and sent for nomination at GDRFA.
Al Badri said that she approved almost 69 UAE Gold visas, and 59 are in process. She also mentioned that Dubai is open to accept talent and creativity from around the globe. Since they find earning stability using the gold card, they will do everything to support this society.
The director-general of GDRFA, Major General Mohammad Al Marri, mentioned that depending on nominations, people from culture and art background could visit GDRFA. From there, they can collect their UAE Gold Visa from the culture category.
Al-Marri added individuals from the culture and art precious for the country. UAE has a global reputation as a renowned attraction for marvelous art and culture. He added that the country has some eminent athletes and other talented personnel solely due to this exclusive initiative. The visa comes with added advantages like extending it after it expires.
The prime minister and Dubai ruler Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum on May 2019, announced that the gold card works like a long-term residency visa for the investors. However, in November 2020, Sheikh Mohammad expanded the possibilities. He allowed the doctors and Ph.D. holders to get the golden visa for ten years.
Apart from that, top scientists, AI experts, and big data experts can also get the visa. Top scoring school students, university graduates having a GPA of 3.8, and their families are eligible to get the golden visa.
